No, having fewer polygons in a 3D model does not directly reduce the printing cost. The price of a 3D print mainly depends on:
The volume of the model (how much material is used)
The amount of support material required
The overall size of the object and therefore print time
Many people are familiar with print quality settings on home printers, such as Draft, Normal, or High Quality modes. At Marketiger, all prints are produced using High Quality settings only. We do not compromise on the quality of our output.
The number of polygons mainly affects file size and processing performance, not the physical material used during printing.
However, extremely dense meshes (millions of polygons) can sometimes make files slower to process or upload, so simplifying the mesh can still be useful for technical reasons.
